Australia is now experiencing 1 in 69 people on the Autism Spectrum and services are becoming scarce. Our rural friends are struggling to get to support groups or share their stories with like minded people.

This is where Asperger Services Australia (ASA) comes in and is able to support families and individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1 and 2. ASA has the capacity to provide information, NDIS support, telephone and email support, and referrals to appropriate professionals. ASA maintains a lending resource library and runs groups for high school students, adults and a craft group. More age appropriate groups will be established during the year.

Earlier in the year ASA was told that no further funding was available after the NDIS was fully rolled out in Australia. This was not sustainable for ASA and the directors had to make the very difficult decision to close the Centre. BUT, since this decision was made funding has been made available to ASA to continue. This means that ASA still has to fund raise to stay sustainable well into the future.

During the subdued period of closing the Centre, we received many thank you letters and wonderful stories about how the organisation has made a difference in their lives. Again thank you to all. These letters and emails have given ASA the encouragement to continuing servicing this community.

We would like to appeal to you, your friends and work colleague to make an End of Financial Year donation. All funds will be used to establish new support services and enhance the sustainability into the future. Online donation on our website: or direct banking are available BSB 034 254 Account 189945.

ASA is a volunteer organisation in its 25th year. Asperger Services Australia Ltd has DGR status and all donation over $2.00 are tax deductible.

We thank you in advance for your assistance.
