Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our Open Day which was scheduled for the 17th July 2021. With the current uncertain environment due to COVID we felt that continuing with this event would not have been responsible. The safety of participants, families, and the wider community will always come first.
As many of you would know, this event was going to be an opportunity for us, and many of you, to farewell Stefanie Evans, our Co-founder and Managing Director, who is retiring after 27 years of volunteering with ASA and supporting the Asperger’s community. The good news is that we have created an online forum where we warmly welcome our Asperger’s community, members, and stakeholders the opportunity to wish Stefanie farewell and acknowledge her enormous contribution both to ASA and to the Asperger’s community.
The online forum will provide the opportunity to leave a public appreciation message, share a story from the past or make a donation. Stefanie wanted to raise much needed funds for ASA through the Open Day, so she’d love to see donations come through to support the continued efforts of ASA. You can access the forum and donation page here https://asperger.asn.au/stefs-farewell/
If you would prefer to send a private appreciation email, you can do this by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org directly.
Please take care of yourselves as we continue to do everything we can to help our communities stay safe, informed, and connected and as we strive toward our vision – for people with Asperger’s Syndrome to live with confidence and self-belief.
