Asperger Services Australia Ltd is a volunteer not for profit organisation and was established in 1995.  The organisation is reliant on creating their own income to support families and individuals with an Autism Spectrum condition.  

Volunteer position:  Events Coordinator and Assistant

Short Description: There are two positions open for an events coordinator and an assistant.  We organise family activities, seminars, conferences and workshops and fundraising events.

Description: The successful applicant must have events coordination skills and preferably have worked in this area.  Most of our seminars, conferences and workshops are related to autism specific topics and speakers are sought from a pool of professionals interested in Autism Spectrum conditions. Knowledge of Autism Spectrum conditions is not necessary but would be preferable.

The successful applicant will be working with the Managing Director and under the direction of the Board of Directors.  One of the goals are to keep the organisation sustainable into the future.

Requirements: You will be required to hold a Blue Card.  If you do not have one, we will be able to help you to apply for one.

Commitment:  12 months

Time required:  two day per week, hours are flexible

Training:  on the job

Start time:  as soon as possible

Transport:  Plenty of parking available – Public transport – Railway – Sunshine Station (5 min walk to the Asperger Centre) or busses on Sandgate Road
