Our Story
In 2012, we opened The Asperger Centre in Virginia (Queensland) with the aim to provide clinical and non-clinical services for our members and the wider public. At present, we offer four main services:
Providing Support
While it’s a lot easier to find information on Asperger’s online today, there’s still a great need to help and support families and individuals diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. We are committed to continuing our work supporting families and individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome to reach their potential to benefit society by full participation and inclusion in the community.
Please note Asperger Services Australia acknowledges there are numerous ways to describe one’s neurology and believes that this is an individual preference. We have chosen to use the term Asperger’s because of our history, however we respect the preference of individuals to determine the language used.
